After suffering a terrible injury during NJPW’s G1 Climax, Daryl Takahashi decided to take some time off. He was approached by The Merchador to spend some of his time off in Seattle and maybe make a little cash on the side by selling some gimmicks at the fifth PAX RUMBLE. As a VIP, Daryl had a front row seat for everything that went down at the Rumble. Although he didn’t compete, he did almost interfere by attacking The Mouse Maid before he was stopped by Pat Baer.

Daryl made a brief return to LOH when The Merchador was relieved of his employment by Alex Zandra. The Merchador's first act of freedom was to attempt to secure a sponsorship for the league through Daryl, but Pat rejected the offer.
